This list is short on purpose. Every line on it comes from one of two places, the four line description on their own Facebook page or a named customer saying it happened to them. Their words are tree trimming and removals, firewood sales and delivery, licensed and fully insured, free estimates. That is the whole published list. You will not find stump grinding, lot clearing or a bucket truck on this page, not because they cannot do it but because nobody has ever written it down, and putting words in a business owner's mouth is a bad way to start. Named in their own description as removals, and it is the job customers describe. One neighbor in March wrote a public thank you for getting this huge tree off of our house. Their own description carries free estimates with an asterisk on either side of it, which is how they chose to write it. Trees get priced where they stand, because lean, rot, dead wood, truck access and where the brush can go all matter and none of it can be judged down a phone line. Here is the honest situation. Their Facebook page prints one hundred percent recommend across eleven reviews, and the page has no Reviews tab, so nobody can open them. Go to the reviews address directly and it loads a page with nothing on it. Their business bureau file shows zero reviews and Not Rated. So the eleven exist as a number and nowhere as words. It gets worse from a search engine's point of view. Fetch their Facebook page the way Google does, without logging in, and what comes back is a login shell containing about forty words about this business and nothing else. Ten years of work, a crew, a truck, a customer who saved eight thousand dollars, all of it invisible to anyone who is not already a Facebook user. Lumberjack's Tree Service started on 1 April 2016 and works out of 436 East Greene Street in Piqua. The business bureau names Silas Salyer as the owner. Small honest note on that, the only customer who names a person calls him Larry, so either the bureau file is stale or there is more than one man on the truck, and it is worth a two second correction rather than a page that guesses. What people actually say is good and it is specific. Randy Edwards, publicly, on their own page, for those waiting to hear good reviews on Lumberjack, he saved me eight thousand dollars on my job and did it easier and faster than the big guys described. Courtney Winston, in March, huge thank you for getting this huge tree off of our house, Larry is the man, reach out to him for all of your tree needs. April Jennings underneath it, he is the best. Now here is what is going wrong, and none of it is about the trees. The business bureau's Visit Website button points at Facebook, because there is nothing else to point at. So does every other listing that exists. Their Facebook page claims eleven reviews and has no Reviews tab to read them in. The page carries no street address, no hours and no service area, and their bureau file carries no hours either, so a homeowner comparing three quotes at nine at night can find out precisely nothing. They are not on Yellow Pages, which lists fifty three tree services in Piqua. They are not on Angi, which lists a hundred and thirty. They have no Yelp page. What is on the first page of results for tree service in Piqua instead is a national lead matching funnel, a chain branch out of Dayton, and a handful of throwaway microsites. Ten years, a crew, and a customer who saved eight grand, and none of it is anywhere a stranger can find it. This page is what having somewhere to send people looks like.
