Lumberjack's Tree Service
436 E Greene St, Piqua OH 45356, call or text (937) 570-0448

Ten years of tree work in Piqua, all of it locked behind a Facebook login.

Lumberjack's Tree Service has been working out of East Greene Street in Piqua since April 2016. Tree trimming and removals, firewood sales and delivery, licensed and fully insured, free estimates. That is their own description, word for word, and until now it was the only description that existed anywhere. There is no website. This page is what one would look like. Call or text (937) 570-0448 and describe the tree.

What we do

Trimming, removals, and firewood split and delivered.

This list is short on purpose. Every line on it comes from one of two places, the four line description on their own Facebook page or a named customer saying it happened to them. Their words are tree trimming and removals, firewood sales and delivery, licensed and fully insured, free estimates. That is the whole published list. You will not find stump grinding, lot clearing or a bucket truck on this page, not because they cannot do it but because nobody has ever written it down, and putting words in a business owner's mouth is a bad way to start. If you need something that is not here, call (937) 570-0448 and just ask.

Tree Removals

Tree Removals

Named in their own description as removals, and it is the job customers describe. One neighbor in March wrote a public thank you for getting this huge tree off of our house. When you call (937) 570-0448, the three answers that move the price further than anything else are roughly how tall it is, what is standing underneath it, and how close it is to the house or the wires. Have those ready and the conversation gets short.

Tree Trimming

Tree Trimming

The first two words of their own published description. Trimming is the cheap job people put off until it becomes the expensive job. The limb hanging over the garage, the branch scraping the siding every time it blows, the dead wood that is going to come out of an otherwise healthy tree in the first real wind. Taking it out on a calm afternoon costs a fraction of what it costs after it lands on something. Call or text (937) 570-0448.

Firewood Sales

Firewood Sales

Firewood sales is line two of their description, and this is a real part of the business rather than a sideline mentioned once. Being honest with you, no price, no quantity and no wood type is published anywhere, so this page is not going to quote you a rick or a cord. Call (937) 570-0448 in September rather than the week of the first hard freeze, because that is when everybody else calls.

Firewood Delivery

Firewood Delivery

And delivery, in the same line. What is not published anywhere is how far they will run it, so if you are out past Covington or Fletcher, that is worth asking rather than assuming. Ask what is in the load, how it is measured and whether it is seasoned or green, because those three questions are the difference between a good winter and a garage full of wood that hisses.

A Tree On The House

A Tree On The House

Being straight with you, storm work is not on their advertised list. What is on the record is a Piqua neighbor writing in March, huge thank you to Lumberjack's Tree Service for getting this huge tree off of our house. That is a customer describing what happened, not a promise from the business, and there is no published after hours number anywhere. If something is down on your roof right now, ring (937) 570-0448 and ask. If a power line is involved, the utility goes first, always.

Free Estimates

Free Estimates

Their own description carries free estimates with an asterisk on either side of it, which is how they chose to write it. Trees get priced where they stand, because lean, rot, dead wood, truck access and where the brush can go all matter and none of it can be judged down a phone line. One customer put the value of that plainly, saying the quote saved him eight thousand dollars against what the bigger outfits had described. Call (937) 570-0448 and have somebody look.

How it works

How to get a price on your tree.

1

Call or text (937) 570-0448

This is the number, and it is worth knowing that Facebook labels it Mobile rather than an office line, so a text will very likely reach a person faster than a voicemail will. There is no website, no booking system and no contact form anywhere on the internet for this business, which is most of the reason this page exists.

2

Say how big and how close

Rough height, and what is standing underneath it. A house, a garage, a fence, a shed, a power line, or open yard. Those two answers move a tree quote further than anything else, because a tree with room to fall is a completely different job from one that has to come down in pieces over a roof.

3

Get the free estimate

Free estimates is their own published line, so use it. Trees get priced where they stand. When somebody comes out, ask what happens to the brush, the logs and the stump, because that is the difference between a clean yard on Saturday and a pile you are still looking at in November. Ask about the stump specifically, since it is not on their advertised list.

4

Book it, and ask about the wood

Tree work is weather work and dates move with wind and rain, so ask what the lead time looks like rather than assuming. And if you burn, ask what they do with the wood, because firewood sales and delivery is half of what this business does and the two conversations may as well be one phone call.

About us

Their own business bureau page has a Visit Website button. It goes to Facebook.

Lumberjack's Tree Service started on 1 April 2016 and works out of 436 East Greene Street in Piqua. The business bureau names Silas Salyer as the owner. Small honest note on that, the only customer who names a person calls him Larry, so either the bureau file is stale or there is more than one man on the truck, and it is worth a two second correction rather than a page that guesses. What people actually say is good and it is specific. Randy Edwards, publicly, on their own page, for those waiting to hear good reviews on Lumberjack, he saved me eight thousand dollars on my job and did it easier and faster than the big guys described. Courtney Winston, in March, huge thank you for getting this huge tree off of our house, Larry is the man, reach out to him for all of your tree needs. April Jennings underneath it, he is the best. Now here is what is going wrong, and none of it is about the trees. The business bureau's Visit Website button points at Facebook, because there is nothing else to point at. So does every other listing that exists. Their Facebook page claims eleven reviews and has no Reviews tab to read them in. The page carries no street address, no hours and no service area, and their bureau file carries no hours either, so a homeowner comparing three quotes at nine at night can find out precisely nothing. They are not on Yellow Pages, which lists fifty three tree services in Piqua. They are not on Angi, which lists a hundred and thirty. They have no Yelp page. What is on the first page of results for tree service in Piqua instead is a national lead matching funnel, a chain branch out of Dayton, and a handful of throwaway microsites. Ten years, a crew, and a customer who saved eight grand, and none of it is anywhere a stranger can find it. This page is what having somewhere to send people looks like.

Being straight with you, these rows say call because there is genuinely nothing to put in them. Lumberjack's publishes no hours anywhere. Not on Facebook, where the Details block renders empty and the contact tab carries a phone number and an email and nothing else. Not on their business bureau file, which has no hours field filled in at all. And there is no Yellow Pages, Angi, Yelp, MapQuest or Nextdoor listing for this business, so no third party is guessing on their behalf either. That is a confirmed absence rather than a gap in the searching. Call or text (937) 570-0448 and you will get the real answer, and the number is a mobile, so a text is a fair bet. Seven filled rows would be the cheapest single improvement on this whole page.

436 E Greene St, Piqua, OH 45356

The business works out of 436 East Greene Street in Piqua, in Miami County. Worth knowing, that street address comes from their business bureau file, because their Facebook page lists only Piqua, OH 45356 with no street on it at all. No service area is published anywhere either, so how far they travel is an open question and a fair one to ask. The only geographic hint they have ever posted themselves is a note about being about forty five minutes north of Beavercreek. Call or text (937) 570-0448 and ask.

(937) 570-0448

Get in touch

Tell us about the tree.

A removal, a trim, or a load of firewood. Say roughly how tall the tree is and what is standing underneath it and you will get a real answer instead of a runaround. Calling or texting (937) 570-0448 is still the fastest route, and since that number is a mobile, a text with a photo of the tree attached is often the quickest thing of all. This form works too.

There is no honest price list for tree work, because the number depends on the height, the lean, what is underneath, whether a truck can get near it and where the brush and the logs end up. Free estimates is their own published line, so the sensible move is to have somebody stand in the yard and look at it. On firewood, no price or quantity is published anywhere either, so ask what is in a load and whether it is seasoned before you buy.

Ask about your tree

Rough height and what is underneath it is plenty to start with.

Thanks! Your request is in, we will reach out shortly. (Demo site, no message was actually sent.)
